Sony has announced two new E-mount lenses for its APS-C mirrorless cameras: the 16-55mm f/2.8 G and the 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS.
Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G
The new Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G is designed to be a versatile workhorse lens for crop body cameras, featuring a 35mm equivalent focal range of 24-82.5mm (wide-angle to portrait) and a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture.
Features of the lens include a 0.2x maximum magnification, a minimum focus distance of 1.08ft (33cm), an AF/MF switch, a filter thread size of 67mm, four aspherical elements, three extra-low dispersion elements (for reducing color fringing and chromatic aberrations), a quick and quiet XD Linear Motor, dust and moisture sealing, a fluorine coating that resists dust/moisture/fingerprints, customizable focus hold buttons, and a rounded 9-blade aperture for beautiful bokeh.

The new Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G will be available starting in October 2019 with a price tag of $1,400.
Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS
The new Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS lens features the 35mm equivalent of a 105-525mm focal range and is designed for sports, wildlife, and landscape shooting. It has built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization that reduces camera shake when shooting handheld.
Other features of the lens include a minimum focusing distance of 3.61ft (1.1m), an AF/MF switch, a 67mm filter thread, an aspherical element, three extra-low dispersion elements, an XD Linear Motor for quick and quiet autofocus, customizable focus hold buttons, and a zoom lock.
