Office Depot/Office Max Black Friday ad

The now-merged Office Depot and OfficeMax chains add to the computer deals available on Black Friday as its ad has now appeared online. Unlike major retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart, the office superstore doesn’t offer any sales on Apple’s iPads (or its Macs), a trend we’ve seen with other store, including rival Staples. But that doesn’t mean it’s devoid of discounts if it has the PC you’re looking for.

Bargain hunters, for instance, might be interested in a 2-in-1 Windows tablet for just $119.99. The 10.1-inch NuVision includes an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and a Bluetooth keyboard. (Note that Walmart has a similar RCA Windows hybrid tablet for $99.) If you prefer a name-brand Windows laptop for under $200, Office Depot/OfficeMax has the HP 14-am052nr with Intel Celeron N3060 processor, 4GB of memory, and 14-inch display — but only 32GB of built-in storage — for $169.99.

While the ad lacks iPad deals, it does offer several tablet specials, including a NuVision Android model with 7.85-inch screen, 16GB of storage, and Atom processor for $59.99. It also features a few of the same deals we’ve seen elsewhere, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite 7-inch slate for $69.99, the Galaxy Tab A 8-inch edition for $129.99 ($10 more than Costco’s deal), and Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core i5 processor for $799.99, though that’s $50 more than the Black Friday price from BJ’s Wholesale.

Office Depot/OfficeMax has plenty of other laptop discounts in its Black Friday ad, such as an HP x2 2-in-1 with Intel Atom x5 CPU, 2 gigs of RAM, 32GB of storage, and 10.1-inch full HD touchscreen for $199.99, $100 off the current price. More powerful 2-in-1s include the Dell Inspiron 13 5000 (Intel Core i3/4GB of RAM/1TB hard drive/13.3-inch full HD touchscreen) and the HP Pavilion x2 (Core m3/4GB/128GB SSD/12-inch full HD touchscreen), both on sale for $399.99. That’s $100 off the Dell’s current price, but a sizeable $230 off the Pavilion’s regular price. Conventional clam-shell notebook specials range from the HP 15-ay192nr (Core i3/8GB/500GB/15.6-inch display) for $269.99 to the Lenovo Ideapad 310 (AMD A10 processor, 12GB/1TB/15.6-inch display) for $329.99 to the HP 15-ay198nr (Core i7/8GB/1TB/15.6-inch touchscreen) for $499.99.

A half-dozen desktop deals are part of Office Depot/OfficeMax’s Black Friday offerings. These include a pair of all-in-one PCs: the HP 24-g020 with AMD A8 processor, 8 gigs of RAM, terabyte hard drive, and 23.8-inch full HD touchscreen for $399.99, and the Lenovo Ideacentre 700, which has a similarly sized display but with 4k resolution and a Core i5 CPU, for $599.99. Note that the Lenovo, which appears out of stock elsewhere, is an online-only deal.

The four desktop towers start at just $169.99 for the Lenovo H30 with AMD E1 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 500GB hard drive, with a step up to the HP Pavilion 510-p020 (Core i5/8GB/1TB) for $359.99. Finally, you get a pair of $499.99 desktops from which to choose: the Pavilion 510-p030 (not the slight difference in product name) with Core i7, 12GB of RAM, and 1TB hard drive or the Lenovo H50 with AMD FX-870K processor, 16GB of memory, and 2 terabytes of hard drive space.
