Apple investor Carl Icahn has dumped his position in Apple over concerns over China. He took a large position in Apple several years ago and has now sold off his investment. He cited concerns over Apple’s inability to control its business in China.

Apple and SAP have formed a pact for enterprise apps aimed at getting iOS deeper into the workplace. This pact should provide enterprises with options in addition to the long-running IBM/ Apple offerings.

Supply chain may indicate another down quarter for iPhone
iPhone sales are down and this may continue if the forecast of the supply chain is to be believed. Companies in Taiwan producing components for the iPhone are predicting another low quarter, indicating another quarter of lower than normal iPhone sales.

Bausch and Lomb team up with IBM, Apple for cataract surgery app
As part of the alliance. IBM MobileFirst for iOS, a top firm in the optical care industry has joined the alliance with an eye toward building an app to help with cataract surgery. The app would bring iOS into the operating theater to help surgeons plan the surgery and to select implants. This could be done on iPads and iPhones.
