Apple settles Siri lawsuit for almost $25 million

A suit filed against Apple four years ago has been settled, a month before going to trial. Apple has agreed to pay $24..9 million to Dynamic Advances concerning a patent that was awarded the company years before Apple introduced Siri.

Apple Watch update kills off band with battery

Reserve Strap has stopped shipping its band for the Apple Watch with an integrated battery. This is a result of Apple’s removing support for the port on the watch that makes such peripherals possible. Support may reappear in the future but for now the Reserve Strap is history.

Apple gets a lot of gold from device recycling

Apple has a big program for recycling old equipment, and part of that program retrieves the gold used in hardware. According to Apple’s annual environmental report, the recycling has retrieved 2,204 pounds of gold last year.

Apple Watch 2 may debut at WWDC

The annual developer conference by Apple will be held in June, and the company is rumored to launch the refreshed Apple Watch at the event. The “Apple Watch 2” is rumored to be much the same as the original model, although much thinner.
